Violet relates to the Crown chakra and red the Base chakra. Colour is absorbed by the eyes, skin and skull and the energy of colour can have an effect on us on all levels, that is to say, corporeal, spiritual and emotional.
As babies we first have familiarity with colours in the womb where we are wrapped in a fostering and soothing pink. Then as a child we relate with colour as part of our first education processes. These first associations add to our awareness. As we get older we fasten many diverse thoughts, reminiscences and meanings to certain colours and this can then turn out to be a trait in our subconscious.
