Sundarban Tiger Reserve was distinguishing over 2,585-sq. km. The center area of 1,330 sq.km has been affirmed a National park and has been selected as a world inheritance location. The preserve has tiger inhabitants of 287(1984 census). These tigers are well-known for the considerable number of people they kill; estimates vary from twenty and eighty people per year.

Access
Air
West Bengal is very well linked with the national and international air network. The international (Netaji Subhash International Airport) and domestic airports of Calcutta are at Dumdum, located 15 km from the city center. The Bagdogra airport at Siliguri joins the state with places in and around the state. Three more airports, namely, Balurghat, Coochbehar and Malda also operate scheduled domestic flights.
Rail
West Bengal runs a chief railway system that connects the rest of the country. Moreover, the Howrah railway station is one of the most accessed railway heads in India.
Road
West Bengal is also well joined by means of national as well as state highways with main places of interest in and around the state. The state transportation corporation runs usual buses connecting these places.

Lothian Island Bird Sanctuary
This place famous for its White-Bellied Sea-Eagle, Black-capped kingfisher, Whimbrell, Tern and Curlew.

Bakkhali
It is a well-known seashore resort, close to Frazerganj fail to notice the Bay of Bengal. It’s a bird-watchers’ heaven, where you are welcomed by casuarinas and Red Fiddle Carbs.

Ganga Sagar (Kapil Muni Ashram)
The ethnically and devotedly significant objective also has remarkably good quality seashore for the tourists. Situated on an island in the Sunderbans, it is an attractive destination combining pilgrimage and entertainment.
